Come join our team of caring people, and help us continue to provide great programming in Forest Heights. The FHCA is a non-profit, volunteer based organization. We need fellow neighbours like you to join our Executive team.

Zehrs Tapes

Are there other ways to help? Yes!

You can help by bringing in your Zehrs cash register tapes. Collect your tapes from Zehrs stores only (not Loblaws or Superstores), that the FHCA can redeem to raise money for programs, supplies, and equipment.

Volunteer Positions - Forest Heights Community Association

Available Volunteer Positions

Without volunteers, many of our programs would not exist. Come and share your experience with the Forest Heights Community Association. By doing so, you can help to contribute to quality community programming. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your lifestyle and your abilities.

Winter Rink Volunteers

The boards are up! All we need is Snow, Cold Weather, and You!

The Forest Heights Community Centre needs volunteers to help maintain its Winter Rink.

Duties include: Preparing and putting in the ice surface (several days to get a base) and then light maintenance (light flooding and shoveling on a daily basis).

Volunteers must be self starters and willing to stick with it (late December through mid March).

Adult volunteers needed – adult and teen teams are welcomed for community service hours.

Support

We train every volunteer and offer regular support to learn all aspects of the position. These jobs will enhance your resume, and show that you’ve been involved in the volunteer sector.

Time

Most positions require approximately 4-10 hours per month to fulfill.

Convenience

Executive positions can be done partially in the comfort of your own home, at a time convenient for you, with occasional visits to the Community Centre.

The Executive meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm
